Colombian weather

Although Colombia is located in the Tropic, the weather is influenced by the Andean South American ranges. The main cities of Colombia are located on the Andes and for this reason you have to ask for the altitude in order to know their climates. For example, Bogotá is located at 2640 m.u.s.l. and its weather is rather cold. Medellín is located at 1538 m.u.s.l. and its weather is like spring; Barranquilla and Santa Marta are located at the shore of the Caribbean Sea and its weather is hot.
